Q: Vacant House forms and procedures.
A: A town resident may access the vacant house form on-line, complete the form, print it out, and drop it off at the police department if they are planning to be away for any amount of time. The completed card should contain the required information of how the police department can contact the homeowner while they are away. While extra attention to the residence is not guaranteed it allows officers to be aware of vacant houses in the area if they are dealing with suspicious incidents in that neighborhood. The homeowner needs to contact the police department when they return home so the card can be pulled from the file. Click her for the Vacant House Form.
